25 30 sports etc.
A small group of people have heavy bleeding, very severe due to. large blood losses and vomiting that occurs when the blood flows down the throat or fainting due to. drop in blood pressure.
The way that is most commonly used in sports, for example, when nosebleeds have occurred, is that a cotton ball is stuffed into the nose to reduce the flow. There are several major disadvantages with this: - On the one hand, the nasal passage is blocked and makes normal breathing impossible, which is important for great efforts in sports, etc.
- On the one hand, the blood in the cotton ball coagulates and often new bleeding occurs when the cotton is removed.
- On the one hand, a cotton ball is an annoyance and constitutes a considerable aesthetic disfigurement.
- On the one hand, the cotton swabs normally lack a well-functioning blood stop function because no agents are added.
Several patents exist in the field of nosebleeds.
This patent application is a further development of a previous application by the same inventor. It is common knowledge that an idea is constantly developed as new experiences are gathered during the development into a commercial product. The consequence is often that the newly gained experience leads to a new patent application to protect the supplements in previous inventions. Previous application has number SE0602534-0.
As an example of other inventors, Marshall is given US 5,383,891, in which one or more oval units are inserted into the nasal passage. With the aid of a wire, said devices can be removed. In addition, a large "patch" is used to cover the nose. The tucked oval units are tight and do not allow breathing. The upholstery is clumsy with your accessories and the user is clearly and probably scary towards children with your.
Wilnelsia US 6,666,211 is a mask of patches formed after a nasal portion 20 and used to calm nosebleeds. No other uses are mentioned.
A person with this mask on will also, like the above, greatly change the person's appearance and can be perceived as scary. Furthermore, a risk is introduced for people with sensitivity to contact allergies. Furthermore, it is doubtful whether athletes working people with skin sweat can make use of the mentioned achievements. It is further doubtful whether women and children appreciate the disfigurement that the above-mentioned achievements provide.
The present invention solves the mentioned problems by allowing breathing via a cavity, a tube or the like in the stopper and by the fact that the stopper can be treated with a blood-inhibiting substance. The user does not need the large masks and patches that referenced patents contain. Producing molds for plasters and masks makes production more expensive and the product becomes expensive.
Another major disadvantage is that they also contain "skin-adhesive" glue.
Said adhesives are expensive and provide a limited shelf life.
During its development, the present invention has also been found to be useful for drug administration.
An additional application is that people with narrow nasal passages and who therefore snore can simply expand the nasal passages with a material in the plug that expands. The plug also constitutes an extended sensing function in the event of exceptional requirements for oxygenation, e.g. in extreme sports and or disease states.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION An absorbent having a compress-like material of rectangular or other shape is formed by rolling into a cylinder. The structure of the absorbent may consist of a slightly harder core with absorbent surface layers which in their structure may be smoothed to reduce the risk of sticking to the wound surface or the secretion of the nose. Due to its construction, there is a built-in effort to straighten out and this function is used when the rolled-up absorbent is inserted into the nose or ear canal and there it strives to roll out and then gives pressure against the wall which slows down the roll-out. This is beneficial for counteracting nosebleeds if the application is for this. Furthermore, during rolling out and printing, the medicinal substance found in the surface layer can be squeezed out. If the application is to dilate the nasal passage when snoring, it is an advantage with this striving for curling which then dilates the nasal passage.
Figure 4 shows an absorbent (41) in its original form. Figure 5 shows an absorbent (41) with an integrated rod (51) to facilitate rolling.
Figure 6 shows how winding is done preferably by hand and Figure 7 how a pair of tweezers (71) or the like can be used. Figure 8 shows a cylindrical rod (81) with a groove (82) in it. The absorbent (41) can be threaded into the groove and then rolled up on the rod for easy insertion into the nose or ear canal.
The absorbent can advantageously be provided with a rod to always be in place when inserting and removing.
Another embodiment is to manufacture a plug from a corresponding material.
A stopper, possibly made in a few sizes to suit different noses and ages, is inserted into the nose in case of nosebleeds or when medication is needed. The plug consists of a mass with some part that lets air through, e.g. a tube or equivalent cavity, surrounded by absorbent mass with a coating that prevents the plug from sticking to the surface, especially when there are wounds in, for example, nosebleeds. The plug's absorbent of the superabsorbent type, uffmass or equivalent expands in the nasal passage and therefore presses against said passage where superficial blood vessels are located. The tube or its equivalent allows breathing in said nasal passage.
The invention has its various uses, some examples of which are briefly described below. 1. Nasal blood The fact that the plug expands towards the nasal passage means that it actively helps to lift the blood supply. 20 25 30 Incoming respiratory air which passes through the plug, thereby cools in a positive way and causes the blood vessel to constrict and thereby reduce the bleeding. A substance such as cyclocapron inhibits bleeding and disinfects the wound surface, and reduces the risk of the plug sticking to the wound surface.
The nasal plug can also be inserted into the nose before bleeding occurs, as a preventive measure when there is a risk of bleeding. 2. Excretion of substances into blood vessels The blood vessels lie superficially in the nasal passage and are well suited for absorbing substances that may be present in the surface of the plug and or secreted to its surface. Examples are alternatives to nicotine patches and insulin medication. 3. Discharge of substances into the respiratory tract As respiratory air passes through the plug, substances can also be found and released in the plug to accompany the respiratory air to the airways and possibly down to the lungs. Examples are allergens that are often sprayed or taken with an inhaler. 4. Excretion of substances Another possibility is that the stopper contains aromatics (odorants) that limit odors that can be disturbing in certain environments. 5. Filter function There are possibilities with a design that filters the air, for example allergy-sensitive people to pollen and similar small particles. Narrow loose nasal passages can cause snoring which can be remedied by a plug with properties that cause the nasal passages to expand with the aid of said plug. 7. Medication in the ear canals It is a known fact that young children often suffer from inflammation in the ear canals with associated pain. This invention can be used to medicate painkillers in an ear canal. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES The present invention will be described in more detail by means of urer gures, Where fi gur 1 shows two embodiments, Where fi gur 2 shows a normal and compressed plug Where fi gur 3 shows the plug inserted in the nose Where fi gur 4 shows an absorbent in a flat disc Where fi gur 5 shows an absorbent with a rod Where fi gur 6 shows a started winding Where fi gur 7 shows absorbent and a pair of tweezers Where fi gur 8 shows a tool for winding.
A FIRST EMBODIMENT Figure 1a shows an embodiment in which a cylindrical plug (1) contains a tube (2) for air flow. Said tube (2) enables breathing. The plug (1) consists of blood-absorbing material and contains blood-inhibiting agents that are also found on the surface (3). Alternatively, the stopper may contain medicinal preparations which are intended to be absorbed by the superficial blood vessels against which the stopper is pressed. The stopper can also be designed to emit substances that accompany the inhaled air to end up in other airways, pharynx or lungs as an example.
Figure 1b shows an alternative shape and where the tube (2) protrudes from the plug and where the tube is provided with a collar (4) to make it easier to move the plug (1) in place and also to simplify the removal.
Figure 2 shows a compressed, compressed plug (1) for easier insertion into the nasal passage (5).
Figure 3 shows how the plug fits in the nasal passage (5).
Figure 4 shows an absorbent (41) which is flat and which is used to be rolled up into a cylinder or plug. Figure 5 shows how an absorbent (41) can have a rod (51), winding rod integrated with the absorbent.
Figure 6 shows how the absorbent (41) has started to roll. Figure 7 shows a pair of tweezers (71) that can be used to roll the absorbent (41) around and then be inserted into the nose or ear canal. Figure 7 shows how a tool consisting of a rod (81) with a groove (82) in it, in which one can thread one end of the absorbent and then roll the absorbent (41) around the rod (81) for easy application in the nose or ear canal .
This description is an embodiment, but since different needs of the plug can affect its design and design, the design and its properties are not limited to those described above but are nevertheless covered by the scope of this document.
